When we heard the news of the death of the dear mother of martyr Qassem Soleimani a few years ago, we considered it necessary to go to his father’s village and offer our condolences to him.

When we entered his mother’s grave, Sardar Soleimani was sitting on his mother’s grave, reciting the Qur’an.

They invited us to their house (their father’s house) and received us there.
While expressing their sorrow and grief over the loss of their mother, they raised with us an issue that should be heard by the whole world.
An issue for which a great international general kept a diary and once in his life he achieved this success.

After reciting the Fateha, we went to his father’s house. He spoke to us about the status and dignity of the mother and said:

Do not publish what I am saying anywhere. He said: I always wanted to kiss the soles of my mother’s feet, but I do not know why I did not get this success. The last time I came here before my mother died, I finally found happiness and kissed my mother’s foot. I thought to myself that I must go (and I want to be martyred) that God succeeded and that my need was met.

He also continues with regret that:

“I did not know I would not see these tired legs again to have a chance to kiss,”

he said it, wiping the tears from his cheeks.

Respect for parents in Islam

Respect for parents is highly recommended in Islam and in the Qur’an.

And it has been repeatedly experienced that respect for parents, especially kissing their hands and feet, can untie the big knots of life and solve problems.

There are many hadiths of infallible Imams in Islam that parents should be respected in order to bring blessings and charity into their lives.

Gen-Soleimani, with all his busy schedule, arranged times to visit his mother and traveled miles to visit his mother and father in a village in Kerman province and to respect and pay attention to them.

 

Respect for parents in the life of martyrs

Martyrdom is the highest degree and rank that is given to a person in this world to enjoy all the blessings of the Hereafter(other world).

This position and rank and gift is offered by God because of their way of life in this world.

Along with all the good, humane and God-friendly behaviors that these people have had, love and respect for their parents have had a special value.

In the lives of many martyrs such as Gen-Soleimani and Martyr Mohsen Hojaji, etc., this issue is well mentioned and there are documents about it.

And you should know that in the religion of Islam, it is recommended that mothers and fathers be given special respect, even if they are from another religion.
Respect and attention to parents is the way to reach the highest levels in this world and in the next.
